It's an interesting shot, but badly over-sharpened. When you get halos like those it's time to back off.

It's not the sort of halo I would usually expect from over-sharpening (the halo seems to be too well defined), it may be an artefact of masking

Whatever. A gremlin may have put it there. In any case it's still a halo.
