Title: USB port question A7RII and A7R

I have looked at many photos but can't tell for sure. Are the USB ports on the A7R and A7RII the same?  Also is it this port that allows the attachment of a wired remote?

Sony lists the remote RM-VPR1 as working for both the A7R and A7RII and it uses the multi-terminal / USB port.

Thanks, the pictures I have seen are a bit hard to tell as the port is reversed.
