Title: SOLD: Zeiss 55mm f/1.4 Otus Distagon T* Lens, ZF.2 for Nikon F Mount, LNIB

This is a like-new in-box Zeiss 55mm f/1.4 Otus Distagon T* lens, ZF.2 for Nikon F mount, purchased new from Camera West in September 2014. This lens has been in the box on a shelf since I bought it, and has been out of the box only for test shots on the day I received it and for the photos in this ad. It's factory fresh. If you're considering this lens, you know that it is reported be the finest lens available for the Nikon, and may be the finest lens available for any 35mm DSLR camera.

Included are all the items that were in the original box - lens, caps, hood, manual, warranty papers - all packaged in the original box and packaging.

Indeed a great lens. 
I have the 85mm and would love to have this but not in the budget. :( 

I'm curious as to why you're selling it why you haven't used it?

Dennis, thanks for taking a look at my website galleries. I bought the lens as I was exiting the Leica S system and felt I needed to "invest" in the best lens available for the Nikon D810. As it turns out, the focal length is not one I use often. Having a $4K lens sitting on the shelf doesn't make sense, so I'm selling it. It truly is the "sharpest knife in the drawer".
