Right-click a file of the type you want to open with a specific program.
Go to Open with > Choose another app.
In the dialog box, if the program you want is not listed, click More apps and then scroll down and click Look for another app on this PC.
Navigate to the .exe file of the desired program, select it, and click Open.
When prompted, select Just once (do not check "Always use this app" unless you want to set it as the default).
After doing this once, the chosen program should appear in the "Open with" menu for that file type, allowing you to select it easily in the future without going through "Choose another app".
