nicely framed.
Understated, almost abstract statement about what is happening in Greenland.

Interesting abstract. Makes me wonder how it might translate into a watercolour.  Before I found myself dangling from the photography hook, I might have attempted to do that. The camera snuffed out all brush desires; I envy those who can continue in both disciplines.

As do I, Rob. I can't draw, sketch, paint, or even produce recognisable doodles. So I resort to technology.

Jeremy, I have just snapped my last paintbox.

It was given to me by a friend of the family as an encouragement in, I think, 1953.

By that time, the early seeds of photography had already been sown, and when I found Vogue etc. there was no turning back. Then, in '59, along came a copy of Popular Photography Annual, and my introduction to one Saul Leiter. I guess that definitely confirmed the earlier point of no return. I don't know if it's a case of ;-) or of ;-( but either way, that's what went down.

Interesting. I was a watercolorist when I got my art degree in the 90s. I feel guilty and get the kit out every few years and do something with it. I'm probably due...
