Real Estate moving toward video?
« on: June 04, 2021, 01:37:45 pm »

I'm wondering if any real estate photographers here are noticing a dramatic shift away from stills/virtual tours to video? How about 360 tours? Thanks.

The 360 tours are huge - either Matterport or Metareal.

The trend is to get away from videos and into 3D (360) photography which gives the visitors more freedom in navigation through the individual rooms or outdoor scenes.
Matterport and Metareal offer a website service/hosting server where you can upload your 360 panoramas, but you have to pay for those platforms. Matterport sells a special camera/scanner for $2400, but you can use also smaller, less expensive 360 cameras or stitch you own scenes.

Another option for high-res images is to use Roundshot VR Drive camera and a 360 Vista Virtual Tour or some other 360 tour software and put it on your own server.
