You kind of have to admire this effort to explain the recent anti-Haitian lunacy, https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2024/09/18/jd-vance-springfield-scapegoating-00179401 , as if it's part of some long-term well thought philosophical plan. They even drag Peter Thiel's undergrad studies into the picture. I think they're trying too hard.

An old interview re-surfaced in which JD Vance is in favour of government action to thwart women travelling to different states to obtain reproductive health care. I wonder which philosopher thinks that makes sense.
