To the outside world we would wonder how any sitting president would NOT win.

The current guy has been doing the job for 4 years.
The opponent didn't exist until a month or so ago.
He didn't have the support of most of his own party, but now they are supposedly all cheering for him.
And somehow he has to convince  a majority to vote for him in 6 months.
The other problem is he looks like a high risk Covid case.

I personally don't give a flying f*ck what other countries are doing. But setting aside my personal views, if that would be so, than why are all international institutions and institutes saying this is going to be a recession worse than the Great Depression in the '30s? IMF, United Nations, World Bank, The Economist, etc.

There is this gleeful view that some, e.g., Canadians. are presenting that their mighty government is going to take care of everything... postpone your rent, mortgage, pay for this pay for that... Where do you thing that money comes from? Grows on trees? Reduced economic activity means less goods produced, and less taxes for the government. The gap will be filled with printed money.Too much money chasing too few goods, isn't that a classical definition of inflation?

When the history of the 21st century is written, the global lockdown will be seen as the most idiotic collective measure the mankind has ever undertaken.

It is clear that you don't give a f*ck about anything else, including saving lives. Imagine there was no lockdown: people would die in higher numbers, infection rates would go sky high, do you really think that people would go about their business as usual, feeling safe to work in schools, factories, restaurants, companies, etc? The economy would have collapsed completely (which will not happen now), and we would be left with the worst case: no infection control, no economy.

If I owned any kind of real estate business in CA, I would sell, cut my losses and just move to another state.  You could not pay me enough to live in CA, and I very likely would turn any  CA architectural shoot down.  The permits required to just use a tripod make it not worth it plus it is common practice to have to hire security for shoots today, especially in San Fran.  I was speaking to a producer last week and it is common nowadays for photographers to get jumped and have their equipment stolen. 

CA is going into the abyss.  Splitting the state may be the only option for those living in the not so crazy areas.

First of all he does not need a majority to vote for him, he simply needs 270 electorial votes.  His opponent 'did not exist until a month ago"  His opponent existed before he was even elected.   And yes he has hte support of his base.  However its kind of uncharted territory now.....

Trump has accomplished a large number of really good things for this country, hardly incompetent.   But yes, he would like to get re-elected so he can continue doing good things for the country.  Imagine that.
