Capture One 20?
« on: October 28, 2019, 05:49:35 am »

Capture One 20 has been kind of announced (as a free upgrade if purchasing C1 now).
Does anyone know what will be added to C1 20 and when it will be available?

Will we have to pay for the upgrades to 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 ??

My biggest question is around MacOS Catalina compatibility.

v20 will be the next version after v12, unless of course P1 will change the mind about the naming

My wild guess is that they were reluctant to name it version 13 due to the fact that many people have a superstition about it. Since next year is 2020, version 20 sounded good.

So, any idea what’s new about it?

Any must-have upgrades?

Thanks.

there is some NDA to agree - so why don't you read yourself by enrolling in beta - it is free to enroll for anybody with an account on their website, couple of clicks away

The list of new features has been published by several websites.
No need for NDA.

I'm happy to accept that assurance. Feel free to re-post (I thought I could, but I was wrong).

I got my information from:

I am not using C1 yet, nor have I signed any NDA.

The post title is still there but the content has been truncated. It seems that it was a leak. Glad that the content of my post here was removed.

Hi Jeremy,

Even if some websites posted about the new features on CO V20, it still remains a severe breach of the NDA. I would re-consider accepting posts about new features of V20 as long as it is not officialy released by Phase One.  ;)

cheers,
Remko

Worth noting anyone upgrading right now will get the free upgrade to Co 20.
The link above gives a promo code of "OCT-AF-QUW" which gets you a further 10% off. Thanks to SrMi for the link :-)

Nice to get a discount on the upgrade and have it available easily.

Adobe could learn some lessons in keeping customers from Phase One.

If you have C1Pro V12 then you can get V20 for 20% off and there are coupon codes for a further 10%, making it around a 28% reduction. Offer lasts till Oct 31st.

Y'know, it really bugs me that I own a Phase One back, and I own a Sony camera, but because I want to use the software with my Nikon cameras as well, I have to pay 25% more for a Capture One upgrade than a Sony or Fuji camera owner.

I would say that Phase-one back owners have spend enough to receive a lifetime free C1 at least till v100 ( comes probably after v20)
Phase is punishing you for buying a Nikon...
