Again, since this isn't the user critique session this might be out of place.
Very pleasing pictures that show a very capable camera.

Only I would tweek the WB much more neutral, these are too yellow for my taste. A bit yellowish is OK for tungsten night shots but this is a bit too much.

Why is the sky black? Where are the clouds or the stars? I have never seen a sky as black as this in real life. Is this what happens to the dynamic range of the X1 at ISO 3200? Or is my monitor out of adjustment?

probably because he's in the city, so scattered light, and atmospheric haze generally found in/around cities(cars, smog,etc..) can "mask" out the stars. For those of us living a little farther away from urban civilization, being able to see the stars becomes "normal" after awhile, and we don't think about it until we notice them "not there" when we go into the city

maldoror try giving access to the raw file for people to have a bash at getting the white balance improved.
I think we are really messed about with these horrible lights they use everywhere these days.(good for security & lousy for photography)

I think the image has a very naturalistic feel; the real whites, such as the moldings on the buildings and the face of the clock, are white on my monitor, and the area around the monument is a nice neutral gray.  I don't know where the other posters live, but many, many buildings in eastern Europe are this very yellow color, so much so that I get tired of it where I live (St. Petersburg, Russia).
