GH2 Battery Supplier?

Hello,

I wonder if anyone knows how to get a hold of extra batteries for the GH2 (DMW-BLC12PP)? None of the usual suppliers seem to have any. . .

I have looked everywhere, and have come up empty. I have noticed that there are several companies on Amazon and e-bay who offer batteries for the GH2, but they're the wrong battery. You have to be careful. (They're selling the battery that works in the other "G" Lumixes, the "13", while the GH takes the "12".)

Yes, me too. I have found a supplier of the correct battery on Ebay, but they are from Japan, want $92 for the battery plus a big shipping charge and 3 - 4 weeks shipping time. . .  Argh.

I know that Panasonic Canada had them in stock a few weeks ago. Try a major dealer like Henrys in Toronto. They do international mail order.

Henrys has been out of stock for some time -- at least a couple of weeks. They now say shipping is estimated in 7-14 days, but they said that 14 days ago, too. I think there's nothing to be done, except wait until Panasonic catches up with demand.

I can't complain too much, since I was in Samy's on another errand, and saw a GH2 sitting on a shelf. The guy who ordered it cancelled his order that morning, and it was available, and I took it.

Yes, I looked at Henry's and also found them backordered.

I entered "DMW-BLC12" and it came up with the battery and an option to order. I have placed an order, and will see if it actually works! Total including shipping and tax was $87.
