Phase One in portrait format

I am going to invest in a digital view camera system, and try to find out if every view camera provides the possibility to turn the back 90 degrees?
I cannot turn the sliding adapter, that's clear. But most backs do not have fittings for portait mode (except Hasselblad V). So what do I turn then?

 

Does anybody have experience with italian Silvestri cameras? They produce really intelligent products, as far as I can jugde that from their homepage.

You are best to post in the MF area of the board

I have a linhof sliding back adapter and my eyelike back mounts on that in either orientation

I think that is the norm

Silvestri - a big mystery in the UK due to the lack of dealers ... they look good indeed

The Phase One Flex Adaptor allows you to rotate the plate in either direction.
