New B+W Digital Pro Polarizer
« on: September 05, 2003, 04:10:12 pm »

Whatever happend to truth in advertising? I see the word "digital" thrown around with stuff that is obviously not digital so much these days it is upsetting. It's the marketing buzzword right now and it takes savvy consumers to weed out the frauds from the gimmicks.

Thanks for pointing this out.

New B+W Digital Pro Polarizer

FWIW:

I recently saw an ad for the new " B+W Digital Pro Polarizer Filter". I use B+W polarizers but mine are marked F-PRO, so I was wondering what benefit this new "digital" filter would offer.

I emailed Schneider Optics and here is the response:

"No benefit. The Digital Pro series are those filters of specific benefit to digital photography (many are not) in brushed chrome mounts to match many of the new digital bodies. The "glass" is the same."

Just thought I would pass this along to any other B+W users out there who might see the ads.
