Seriously, photographing fast-moving subjects, handholding with long lenses, and artificial light banding are the main issues when using the electronic shutter on all cameras, except a9/a1.
For landscapes, still and slightly moving subjects, macros, and many more, it works fine. I measured the readout speed to be the same as a7rIV (as reported by Jim Kasson). AFAIK, a7rIV owners are regularly using the electronic shutter. Note that the readout speed is faster in 12-bit mode.
