Title: Hiking Photos
Post by: The Ute on November 17, 2013, 05:29:32 pm
I am an avid hiker.

My love of photography started as an offshoot of hiking.

Here is one of my favorite hiking photos.

I hope you like it.

This is really nice. The hikers lend a sense of scale to the scene and a bit of interest.  In my experience, photos that include people engaged in adventurous outdoor activities do far better in stock sales than straight landscapes.  This certainly has potential in that market.  Nice work!

Bret-

Coming form you that is quite a compliment.

Thanks for the feedback.

I have many, many more. I was just wondering what people might think.

I think you answered my question.

;)

Here's one more from the same trip.

That second one is nice, too.  If you don't mind a bit of constructive criticism, I'd consider cropping out the white sky as it distracts my eye from the hikers.  Something else to consider when shooting outdoor adventure is to try to have your "models" wear clothing that contrasts with the environment.  For example, in red rock country, blues and greens stand out nicely from the orange/red sandstone.  Just a couple things to think about as you continue down this path.  Hope it helps!
