Both are very nice... brings back memories.

Nice images both.
#1 appears to work best though.

I also like 2, the fact that the water continues with the sky with almost no visible transition gives the impression that the town is suspended.
-
Thanks for the feedback...I personally like the #2 also, it turned out great with the infinite horizon :)
@ Slobodan: summertime memories or something more? :D
-
+1 on the second one...nice transition.

These are very likeable. Well processed and nothing to fault. I visited there over twenty years ago before I was into photography and it would be nice to visit again with a camera. Rampant inflation meant that prices doubled in less than two weeks. A genuinely nice place then but I don't know if tourism has spoiled it since. Yugoslavia in 1989 was quiet with respect to tourism. The photographs bring back memories. :)

I vote for #2, the town seems to float in the air.

Good shooting, Tom. The blue color cast is appropriate in these pictures, and the effect of complementary colors in close association is stunning. Bravo!

Tom,
I like the first more than #2, not only because of the closer view but because of the tint of the blue background. Presumably, these were taken at around the same time, so is the difference in the two blues just a function of the length of exposure or did you do something else in processing to cause this? Both good shots, regardless.

Very nice, in fact I prefer the first one.
