Title: Harlequin Duck
Post by: Glenn Bartley on August 16, 2012, 11:35:58 am
This past spring while I was guiding a group of photographers here on Vancouver Island one of my clients really inspired me with his commitment to getting a low angle shot of these beautiful ducks. The rocky shoreline can make this kind of image difficult but he was not to be deterred and got some really sweet images. I have to admit that I was jealous of the shots that he got and had to go back with my own camera a few weeks later to try for my own.

Harlequins are one of my favorite ducks. The only time I ever saw any live was 38 years ago on an inland mountain stream in Iceland. Beautiful!

Glenn, even the old thesaurus is having trouble keeping up with appropriate adjectives to describe your work.

Well done
