Title: Max SD Card Size Recognized by NEX 7?

Michael or anyone else,

I have looked at many reviews and at the Sony website but cannot find specifications as to the limit of the SD card that the NEX 7 will recognize.

I am acquiring items for my NEX 7 purchase (awaiting it's general release) and would like to know if a 64 meg SD card will work.

Putting a 64 meg card in my current compact camera (G10) gets me a "card error".

So I am wondering if this is going to work in the NEX 7 or not.

Check the official specs. Not sure off the top of my head. Works fine with a 32GB though.

64GB? That's more than 2,000 raws, about 10,000 JPGs and several days worth of video. I'd rather go with a couple of 32GB, or even 4 16s. A bit safer that way.

64 meg? Uh, may be I missed a gear on the DeLorean... ;)

More seriously, a 64GB SD card should be a SDXC card, and not a SDHC one. The G10 doesn't support SDXC cards (SDHC only, up to 32GB), whereas the NEX 7 does (http://store.sony.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&partNumber=NEX7K/B#specifications).
SDXC cards should go up to 2TB, btw.

Yes, the 64gb card is an SDXC.  I did not realize that the limitation was buy card type and not by card size.
