Would someone be using this already?

Well, I have one on order, I'll report in a few weeks. Pricey for sure, but a strong yen opens many doors. :)
Anyway, I see this as a key step towards the roll out of my new cameras line up starting with the iPhone 4/4s as a replacement of my former Canon s90.
The iPhone+Schneider will be the everyday camera when even the Nikon J1 is too bulky to carry around.

lol so much effort to do what exactly.....? and you think the iPhone camera is that good?
I found that iPro page a few weeks ago, and kinda hoped it was a joke because the website was so bad, not to mention badly advertised (like not at all) and high price. I honestly don't think it would matter if this piece of glass was made by Schneider or Holga, its so damn small who cares. And doesn't it kinda get in the way of the convenience of the whole thing?
but I'd still be interested in how it works....hmm

We will see. :-)
If I try to audit the pics of my former S90... Well I have not printed a single one of them... ever.
So the iphone is good enough for the pictures I take when I don't have my second worst camera along, the excellent J1. The only problem is the lack of flexility of the iphone in terms of lenses and it looks like the Schneider might help.

I look forward to your first post of a 200-image pano taken from the top of a Japanese mountain too remote to carry your Nikon to.
Then I might be tempted to get an iPhone myself.

Large format photographers used to carry around a lens/viewfinder w/o a camera to scope out images and get the feel of a scene before setting up a camera. If you could figure out the equivalent focal length of a lens on your iPhone this might serve a similar purpose. I know Alpa for example has an iPhone holder and software to use your phone as an electronic viewfinder.
The world awaits your trial, Bernard!
Mike.

Hm, the iPhone lens is already a little wide for most of the times I have used the camera. To each his own.

Bernard,
Let us know how it works...

Bernard,
I hope that you're luckier than I am with UPS. On many occasions, they delivered my stuff to a wrong address and then asked me to go fetch my packages myself.

Does the case have a 1/4-20 thread on the side?

Yes.
Thanks Bernard. Couldn't find that info anywhere. It seemed a tripod could only be attached to the bottom of the handle, but not directly to the phone.

I see... I need to double check in fact, I am not sure whether the threads on the phone cover itself are standard size in fact.
Let me double check that.

Yes you can have the tripot attaché to the iPhone case direct by using only the top portion of handle. It's a small piece which one end is 4mm thread attaching to case, the other end is 1/4-20 female thread which can attach to tripod.
