Title: Maine Lighthouse
Post by: Two23 on October 27, 2019, 06:55:22 pm
From my trip a few weeks ago to New England.  Maine.  Used a polarizer and 10 stop ND.

Cool shot, tonality and composition. As an aside, it doesn't look like a 10 ND was used: you can see every little wave on the water?

Pulled out the filter and took a look.  It says:  "Haida Pro MC ND 3.0 x1000."  Looked it up and it is 10 stops.  :)

Was that a daylight? Or moonlight?

Daylight.  The light was sort of blah and after seeing more dramatic lighthouses I decided to try something unconventional.  Here's a more conventional shot I took of it.  Camera was D850, lens was Sigma 35mm f1.4.

I like the unconventional shot a lot.
