I'm heading off to Ireland starting in end of July through end of August.
I'm doing research right now and have found a number of great photo opportunities.
Does anyone have a list of "MUST SEE" / "MUST PHOTOGRAPH" locations.
About the travel:
** I'm traveling alone
** My focus is to photograph the country
** I'm an aspiring landscape photographer (however I really like the look of the inside of the Trinity College library)
** Ireland has been on the top of my bucket list for years.
I already have my flights in and out and a car booked.
Any help is much appreciated.
My initial list of places, in no particular order are:::
Shannon
Doolin
Galway
Connemara hill-village
Belfast
Dingle
Connor Pass
Blasket
Killarney
Portmagee
Kenmare
Beara

You will be astounded with Dingle!! I've only been to Ireland once but on my trip there I did notice that there were VERY few places to safely pull off of many of the charming little country roads and I had to pass on a lot of the stuff I wanted to shoot.

I don't claim to know much about Ireland or the best places to photograph, but we were there in last of April and absolutely enjoyed the entire trip. It was not a photography oriented trip. Just four friends enjoying the country.
Here is a link to photos from the places we visited. The destinations are indicated in the description of the galleries and some photos (taken with Canon 7Dm2 and iPhone) are geotagged, so you can click on the image and see on a map where the photo was taken.

Everywhere is beautiful.
It rains a lot. Ensure you have Rain sleeves or similar and adequate protection for camera bag and yourself.

Don't limit yourself to only Belfast in the North. Go up the coastal route to the Causeway coast. Stunning coastline with the Giants causeway , Carrick a rede rope bridge, Ballintoy harbour and White Park Bay all very close together at the end of the route. Other end of the North...Newcastle and the Mourne mountains and views of both from Murlough beach.
I must declare an interest...I'm from Northern Ireland.

I have just spotted this post. Have you arrived yet. I live in Dublin and familiar with most of the usual places. Happy to try and give some pointers, depending on where you are and have still to visit.

Stingray -- I arrive later this month (July). I'd love to have some suggestions.

Have you got any part of your journey or locations confirmed or refined since your earlier message.
Here is a shot from last week, very close to the centre of Dublin.
