Title: Please help on Contax 645 NAM-1 adapter question...

Is the adapter a "dummy" one, much like an extension ring but with Contax N mount on the other side... or is it a "clever" one which "translates" the signal to a different interface? My impression is that Contax 645 & Contax N both share the same interface, but only have different mount and that the adapter is a "dummy" one... But I don't have a NAM-1 adapter to confirm this and I do need the information for a (part of a) project I run... Thanks in advance for the info...

It´s quite dumb, no electronics inside. I have one somewhere but can´t find it just now.
