Title: Sony A7r2 won't activate Autofocus
Post by: Chris L on April 01, 2016, 05:29:25 pm
I have been using this camera with newest metabones EF adaptor and it has been working great until now. It will not show that the AF mode is enabled, the camera only stays in MF mode no matter where I try to enable in menus. Therefore none of my lenses will autofocus. It could be the metabones adaptor or it could be the camera. I polished all the brass contacts to no avail. Any other ideas?

I'm using canon 85 L lens, canon 300mm f4 , and various Leica r lenses. The problem happened while I was using the 85, and I toggle the AF / MF switch on the lens off and on frequently, perhaps that triggered the problem?

Perhaps the metabones adapter is in Advanced Mode rather than Green Mode?

Thanks! This fixed it. Although I truly do not understand what the modes do and why they exist even after reading the metabones info .........
