Title: Opening the Correct Lr Version

I was reading some articles about the issues in Lr 2.2 and went to check the version I am using - 2.1.1. Odd, I thought I had upgraded from that some time ago. I did the upgrade to version 2.3.0.151, which my Creative Cloud was indicating was available. When I open Lr, it still says version 2.1.1.

I think the upgrade went OK, but I am opening the wrong version. I know this can happen because if I use the Open Program box and open Lr, I get Lr5.7, a pre CC version. How do I get Lr to open with the current version?

While I'm at it, what is the best way to clear out all the old versions without destroying your plug-ins and other options?

If you are using Lightroom CC the the best place to open Lightroom from is as displayed in the Creative Cloud application. see the attached screen capture.

On a Mac, you can add the App's icon to your Dock.

I frequently have several versions of each App on my machines so I add a prefix to the names of the programs (to indicate their version) and that prefix shows in the Dock.

I don't know if Windows offers anything similar?

OK. I can open it from the CC panel, but it says I need to update it even though I just did. I'll let it update again and get back.

It updated (again) and now it seems to open, from  the CC panel, with version 2015.2.1, which I understand has issues. Why does it not upgrade to the 2.3 version that I received notification of?

So this is the version that has the new, unimproved import feature. How do I roll it back to 2.1.1?

ACC really does need to state which version they are offering as an Update; and also the date of release because currently you only find out what you actually installed after it is on your HD.

I think you will find that the Update being offered currently on the Cloud is still the unlamented CC 2015.2.1. I don't think the successor has been released yet?
