Good question! I seem to have a thing about fences and fence posts. I'll grant you, it isn't full of drama :-) However, when I look at this full size I really do find it very satisfying and to answer your question directly, I find the composition, in terms of the arrangement of shapes, very satisfying and restful, and I very much like the textures of the sand and detritus (something else I have a thing about :-) very pleasing. I thought perhaps it would leave other people cold, looks like I was right :-)
