Pens for signing prints

(1/2) > >>

mseawell:
Good day all! I was wondering what pens folks use to sign their glossy and mat prints with and where can you purchase them. I'm not ver happy with my pens at all.

Thanks!

Bob_B:
Quite a few photographers have recommended Sakura micron pigma pens. They're said to be archival and available at amazon and other retailers. I have them in my wishlist, but have not tried them so caveat emptor.

Rick Popham:
For the glossy papers I use a Staedtler Pigment Liner pen (you can get them at Staples).  On mat prints I use a pencil.

I've been using the Sakura micron pigma pens for the past 4 years and have never had a problem.

Jager:
For glossy, luster, baryta papers... another vote for the Sakura Micron pens.

For matte papers I use pencil.
