Bodie Ghosttown
« on: April 14, 2015, 12:52:32 am »

Redlight districts, Chinatown, fortunes won at the turn of a card, liquor held in bank vaults, 65 bars in one of the most desolate places in the US, gun battles, gold, and badmen. Today 5% of the buildings stand that was once a 10,000 person town, and it remains deserted save for the tourists flocking to observe this shred of history.

#1 and #2 are fantastic, a glimpse into the not so distant past.

My favorite is #1, but there is a certain appeal to the third photo as well. I see they bill this town as in a state of "arrested decay". Clever and appropriate.

Not so sure about #3 but the others, especially#2 are fine.

Just as an FYI it's an infrared treatment with a little noise added.  It's debatable treatment certainly, I can post the original, it's also quite nice in color.  I selected this treatment to give it a darker old world feel.
