The Herons Took a Break and Made Way for an Eagle
« on: April 07, 2015, 01:45:05 pm »

There are eagles where I live but they are right sparse and can generally only be found deep in the forest. Today's shoot was just one of those being in the right place at the right time events. This juvenile Bald Eagle was pretty patient with me traisping about trying to get a decent angle until I got about 30 feet away, then he hightailed it back into the deeper forest area.

#2 is a real winner for me due to the angle of his wing hugging his head perfectly. What a majestic bird.  The first one is very nice for me as well.

You do seem to hire only the best bird models, Chris.
Very nice set.

Some of them work for peanuts...others for a fish, snake or dare I say, another bird. Cheap labor.  ;D
