This is my Nikkor 35mm f2 AI-s lens which I am selling to fund other gear purchases. The lens is very clean cosmetically, the glass is pristine, and I cannot see any dust inside. Focusing is smooth and not too loose, no stickiness in the aperture blades. Here is a gallery of high-resolution photographs that will let you really flyspeck the condition of the lens. http://ahfairley.com/selling/35mm/index.html

The lens has a “dandelion chip” installed that communicates lens and aperture information to Nikon cameras like the D and G series lenses, and allows the use of matrix metering mode on Nikon DSLRs (matrix metering otherwise does not work well with AI-s lenses). With the chip in place, at least on my D800, you have to set the aperture ring to f22 and control the aperture using the camera’s aperture control wheel. If you don’t want the chip I will remove it before shipping, or you can easily remove it yourself. However, the chip not interfere with operation on a pre-electronic body if that’s what you intend to use the lens on. Here is more information about the chip and what it is supposed to do: http://pindelski.org/Photography/2012/03/08/adding-a-cpu-to-mf-nikkor-lenses-part-i/ (Note that though the article says you can program the chip to allow aperture selection with the aperture ring, on my D800 you can only use the control wheel, I don’t know about other cameras).

The lens comes with the dedicated HN-3 lens hood and front and rear caps.

Shipping will be USPS Priority Mail.

SALES AND SHIPPING ONLY IN U.S.A., SORRY.
