Your personal attack was akin to this nonsense -- If someone won't say they are not a wife beater, then that is as much an admission of guilt as them saying 'Yes yes I am a wife beater'.
Firstly it was not a personal attack, it was simply trying to understand whether that was the reason for many of Slobodan's remarks objecting to press coverage of gay bashing and homophobia. Whether he admits it or not isn't really going to change my opinion of him as it happens.
Secondly, you are forgetting context. If someone's wife repeatedly exhibits injuries consistent with physical assault and you ask them are they a wife beater and they dodge the question rather than simply say no or maybe explain that she's a competitive cage fighter, which if you are innocent [or indeed guilty and want to put question to rest] saying no is simply what you would do.
