Epson 7900 Error 1101
« on: April 01, 2015, 04:05:18 pm »

My carriage motor needs replacing, problem is I need to print something tonight and obviously it won't let me!

I can still print in "Service Mode" but my roll is down to 5 feet.  Is there a way to change the amount of paper left on a roll while in service mode?  Otherwise I'm afraid it's not going to let me print on the new roll.

If anyone knows where I can find Servprog.exe for a Mac so I can reset the carriage motor counter please let me know.  Or if you have other suggestions until I can have it fixed.

Thanks
Brian

I may have incomplete information, but from what I have read, these Epson service programs are Windows only.

added throught:......and of course they are proprietary!

I have read that somewhere, but it was an old post.  I thought surely they have SOMETHING for mac!

I suppose I can run it on Parallels... and it is available on a certain Epson website.

I hope there is a way to load a roll of paper on Service Mode though ... so much easier for me :)   And change the Paper counter.
