All went well with firmware updates for my X-T1, 10-24 and 18-135 lenses.
I didn't try to do any before-and-after tests of the claimed improvement in zoom lens image stabilization because I don't have any way to reliably produce a specific amount of camera shake. However, I've not been overly impressed with Fuji's "OIS" function up to now — especially with my 55-200mm, with which I previously found I needed to adhere to the canonical 1/<focal length> metric at 200mm, even with stabilization on. But I made some indoor shots of static subjects today, and was able to eliminate camera movement entirely and quite consistently at 1/30s with that lens fully extended (sample attached).
This is a big deal for me. My hands have never been that steady and I've lost a lot of otherwise nice captures over the years to camera motion.
Fuji deserves a lot of credit for its aggressive firmware update policy.
