Glass is in excellent condition. Lens body is in good condition, no dents but does have minor rub marks and scratches to the paint. Focus is smooth and limiter functions as it should. Works flawlessly on my 645D and has delivered many amazing photos. The telephoto lens on a medium format body whether film or digital produces a look that can't be matched by smaller formats. However, with a 645 to Pentax K adapter (or even to a Nikon or Canon mount for that matter) would produce great results.
This lens model is one of the best examples of Pentax's devotion to professional outdoor photography with medium format; an absolutely legendary lens. The ergonomics of the lens are outstanding from the top handle, to the smooth focusing, the detail of the double extending/collapsing built in lens hood. The drop in circular polariser is a absolute must which is a superb aid to contrast when deal with glarey conditions such as deserts or rock landscapes. While the lens takes some practice to gain full performance from it specifically on moving wildlife; when it works out you will be in love and in awe. This lens provided excellent shots when I lived in Africa; you can't beat the look and feel of telephoto on medium format.
