Are there any users experienced with these lenses on Contax 645, Mamiya AFD or Pentax 645? (maybe Leica-S too?). The focal length/speed combination looks very attractive and is lucking from the cameras own line of lenses. Any experience is welcomed.

actually, most 35mm telephoto lenses are cover Medium format size.
I've owned C/Y zeiss 135mm F2.0. It delivers incredible image quality even edges in medium format size.

Hi Chiek,

Many 35mm lenses do cover an image circle wide enough to project on an MF sensor (remember the Horseman Digiflex?). In this case however the wonder is on the particular lenses when used with MF cameras with mirror box... (on which a 35mm lens can't be used at all).

retrofocus type wideangle lens like canon 17/24 TS has not a larger image circle but also vignetting and color cast better than Symmtric lens like digitar 24/35XL.

Horseman digiflex I/II has 36x24mm focal plane shutter ,It is limited 36x24mm image (actually a few larger than 35mm FF, 38 x 26mm image, I've tested).

Hi Chiek,

What i'm trying to say is that I'm particularly interested on people's experience with the P-6 mount Sonnars of 180/2.8 & 300/4 focal length on todays digital sensors.
