Jumping spiders are back out
« on: March 12, 2015, 09:43:17 am »

On the hood of my car. Spotted this one yesterday. First one since the beginning of December. Temps have warmed up & that's a good thing...

Unrelated to the photography aspects, I would lose my mind if that thing was on the hood of my car. ;)

More great bug photos!  The hood reflections are fun, and the catch-lights make the eyes ever weirder than spider eyers already are.

I have to ask how you get close enough to your live subjects, these spiders in particular.  When I try to get at all close to these things they, well, jump!

I get about maybe 6" from the front of the lens to them (minimum focus distance as I set the lens at 1:1)... Funny thing as the spider did jump ontothe front element of the lens the other day... Maybe saw it's reflection ?

It appears he's littering crumbs on your hood.  Bad spider!
