Help Needed - Printer Profiling
« on: March 01, 2015, 01:45:30 pm »

I created a profile for my printer using i1Profiler (TC9.18 patches) and then attempted to check the generated profile using ColorChecker Proof. The 18 color patches and most of the gray scale patch look great when viewed through the ColorChecker Proof card. However, the 3rd lightest gray scale patch has a definite blueish tint to it. Can someone give me an idea as to the best way to resolve this  discrepancy, e.g. generate a test chart with more patches, more gray scale patches, etc, and then regenerate the printer profile, etc? Thank you.

You could try a post optimization using lot's of gray patches, that can help.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.
