Howard, Andrew is correct in everything he is saying.
The problem is that the two of you are not (literally) on the same page.
I am not convinced, at this point anyway, that you have enough knowledge to work out where the problem really is.
Also, for Andrew, and others, who are trying to help you remotely, it is often very difficult to figure out the issues.
If they were standing behind you watching your workflow I bet they would point out the problem almost immediately.

My suggestion is to get a good primer on colour management.
Nothing wrong with Andrew's book on colour management (or his extensive tutorials and reviews on his website).
Try also the 'Camera to Print and Screen' tutorial series avaliable from this website.
This may seem like the long way around but ultimately, if you are printing a lot, then getting familiar with the gamut (pun intended) of colour management and how it informs every step of your workflow from planning shoots all the way through to a master file print, then it is well worth the effort.
