Sony A7r HDMI problem
« on: February 26, 2015, 03:02:14 pm »

I tether most of my work, unfortunately the sony doesn't offer live view tethering through the computer, so I am using a 24" Eizo via HDMI out, while having the camera connected to my Mac via camera Sony's Control Software and then hotfoldered to Lightroom.

My problem is, that the image seems to be squashed horizontally by about 15%, the menues fill the whole screen and look linke on the back of the camera, it's just the live preview which shows black bars left and right. is there a setting to change this, may like having a proper 16:9 aspect ratio for the preview?

I do the same thing but use a 22" Samsung TV instead of a monitor connected via HDMI and I do not get the squish that you are.
