Hi,

I have a small exhibition in my home town, Nyköping, Sweden. The theme is Mountains, Valleys and Water. The exhibition has a home site on the web:

http://echophoto.dnsalias.net/ekr/Articles/Exhibitions/BergDalOchVatten_1/

Have a peek, if you like.

Best regards
Erik

Wow! Erik. Really good work. This one's my favorite...

You really nailed the presence provided by the character of light. I wonder where absolute black resides. Just the right amount of fog in the distance.

May it become iconic and ubiquitous just like a "Robert Wood" landscape. You should be able the sell the hell out of that one.

Erik, don't take this the wrong way but that jpeg I linked to I opened in Photoshop and applied +20 Sat in Hue/Sat and it really made the sun's affect pop on just the green hill highlights with a luminance increase that complimented the soft fog portions of the distant background. I don't know if its my calibrated sRGB gamut display that's making it look chalky & subdued or if that was your intended look.

I'm guessing the subdued hill highlights are from the sun going behind the cloud which I'm assuming you're trying to portray.

Hi Nancy,

Most visitors liked those two images, too. Thanks for feedback!

I particularly like the two on the left at the bottom - light so wonderful.

Hi Tim,

I see your point. I made the adjustment on a new layer and switched back and fort. Food for thought…

Thanks and best regards
Erik

Great job getting an exhibit together.  I see you once lived out by the Site near Idaho Falls.  I lived in Pocatello for a while and found Craters of the Moon to be a mysteriously wild place.  I particularly like the cover shot on your web site.

Hi,

I have spent a lot of time in Idaho Falls testing simulation code, it was just business trips but I had a lot of those. I really love that place.

Best regards
Erik

That's a pity, I have a trip in mind that may take me out your way sometime later in the spring.
