I have a Gitzo G2227 with a lifetime warranty..But I think my tripod died.
So the warranty is over, that is what B&H tell me when I call for help about my tripod problems..Now I need a new tripod, what tripod any of you recommend?

I have Hasselblad with big lens and a canon 1ds with 400do.

Thank you for your help.

Call Gitzo themselves.

A lifetime warranty is a lifetime warranty regardless of what BH may tell you.

How does a tripod die? Bogen stocks plenty of parts for the Gitzo tripods. So even if your tripod could die, they could miraculously bring it back to life, just like Lazarus. ;-)

I can verify that!  We have really dinged up a couple of them and parts have always been available for our own repairs.  If it's warranty work, they are always quick and friendly.  Can't imagine how you would ruin a 2227 short of running over it with a truck, and even then I bet they could fix it.

A lifetime warranty, as the poster above said, is a lifetime warranty. Send a nasty letter to Gitzo and keep calling until you get some satisfaction.
