Delete cookies & cache!
« on: February 14, 2015, 08:03:45 pm »

I had difficulty logging on - but deleting all cache and cookies from luminous-landscape and re booting the browser did the trick.

Deleting the LL cookie and re-starting the browser does it.

But when I move from the Forums to LL Home I seem to loose the logon information again and need to do the above once more...

We are aware that some folks are having  problem and need to re-logo.  Our guys are looking at this.  Not everyone is having the issue.  I suggest rebooting the web browser and also the computer.  We'll see if we can track it down on our end.

The new site looks good.
I can log in once and then have to re-delete the LL cookies before I can log in again. Firefox 35.0.1

Edit: I have the same problem with Internet Explorer, which has no scripting or other security plug-ins installed. Weird.

Safari user.  I followed the instructions to delete cookies and clear the cache.  I can log in, but can't see photo images in posts.  I can't log in at all on my iPhone 5s.  Just in case you wanted to collect data and know what users are experiencing.  Thanks very much.

As soon as I posted the above comment, the system automatically logged me out and I had to empty the cache and delete the cookies before I could log in again.

Please bear with us on the log on issue. We are working on a fix for it plus image uploading.  We will get it sorted out.  I know it is frustrating.

As the expression goes, we have our best people on it.

I know you're working on it.  I just thought it might help to know what some people are experiencing.

Some more info:
On my iPad, I delete history and cookies which lets me log in, but soon after it treats me as a guest. Then I have to delete history again.

If I log in using the upper right, I seem to stay logged in longer -at least long enough to post. If I use the login link where you can "stay logged in" I get kicked out as soon as I go to another page in the forum.

Thanks Dave . . . On my browser  (Safari) it has been stable and I have been signed in all night.   We'll continue to test and work on this through the day.

I can login on Chrome after clearing cookies etc, as others I lose login when I go to the home page but when I try to login again it tells my PW is incorrect.  If I clear cookies etc again and restart Chrome I can login again.  I've tested this and it's repeatable if that's any help.  I plan to just stay on the forum pages for now :)

Yes, all a mess of cookies preventing logins.

Using Firefox here. Same loss of login on Chrome.

Go to the front page and loose status.

I managed to lock in with Chrome. However I had to change my password. The system would only accept min 8 letters and a number or other signs. Less would be safe enough too for a forum. One more I will have to remember...

FYI, just logged in using safari on my MBP. No issues, keeps me logged in. Meanwhile logging in from the iPad is still unstable.

Edit: Maybe not so fast. I tried to log in from my iPad again, and I think that kicked me off from being logged in on my MBP. I had to then delete cookies and data on the MBP. Also, after resetting I logged in, then logged out on purpose. Could not log back in without the delete dance. But there is definitely a difference between the iPad and the MBP. iPad won't stay logged in. I wonder if it is somehow iCloud related (I use iCloud).
