I purchased a roll of epson premium luster260 for my 3880. I am trying to print closer to the 4x6 native format than the 17x23 papers allow.
I like the luster paper, and although only available in a 16" roll thought I would try it for my first attempt.
The roll paper is 260 weight while the cut sheet is 240.
Do I need to manually change any settings- platen gap, paper thickness or anything??
Thanks in advance for any help.

Roll is called
Premium Luster Photo Paper (260) while cut sheet is called
Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster (This is the cut-sheet version of Premium Luster Photo Paper (260)) Same damn thing. Can go into the top slot because not too thick and it is flexible.
Pretty sure the paper setting on the 3880 is for the Premium Luster Photo Paper (260) while on my R2400 it is Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster.
I just printed test images on Cold Press Bright, Hot Press Bright, Exhibition Fiber and Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster. While they all have their own unique characteristics, it is amazing how well the Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster holds up against the newer papers. I do wish it was a little thicker and more rigid, but it is about 1/4 the price of the Exhibition Fiber: $79
24" x 100' Luster (260) versus $149 24" x 50' rolls. The Hot and Cold Press in 24" x 50' are both $106.
Oh, and I have a 24" rototrimmer. Since you mentioned wanting to print 17 x 23, my recommendation, depending on your own needs, is to buy 24" roll and cut to width of 17" if you have the capability. Cheaper than buying 17x22.5 inch sheets.
