How would you profile this paper?
« on: February 09, 2015, 01:15:11 pm »

Yukatan Hand-Made Paper

Scanners won't do the color right due to coloration of the random patches in the paper.

I'm guessing I need to find a color of paper with the same solid color of either the darker browns, or the lighter browns, so the spectrometer will read the color patches?

 ???  ???  ???

but just finding the right color of a different paper isn’t enough, because it may not match the absorption and other properties of the target paper.

with something so offbeat and strong color bias, I would try letting the printer control the colors and maybe tweaking those a little instead of using color management. You can’t neutralize out those colors and it seems that’s not the point of using such an unusual paper anyway ...
