Had you matched the moon & sky with that in the reflection, it would have been fine, but as it is, it doesn't work for me

Could have been a fine beach waves photo, had it not been ruined by that clumsy attempt at compositing.

It almost works for me (I do similar things).
I think it would work if you used the same moon shot for both sky and reflection, with the reflection flipped top to bottom to look like a reflection, and with the "reflection" slightly darker than the sky moon.

Tides are caused by the position of the moon as it orbits the earth. The moon on the bottom, superimposed on sand, refers to the effect it has on the ocean. The moon above the horizon pulls the tides one way while the moon above China pulls the ocean another. The position of the moon relative to the earth is in a state of motion--gravity behind ebb and flow.
The seashells on the sand reference stars in the night sky.
This picture is more about being a thought exercise than it is about being a static image. I've been experimenting with representing the 4th dimension--time with a stills camera.

Unfortunately the thoughts didn't come through in the picture. To make it work, any photograph, painting, sculpture, etc., has to stand on its own. You can't depend on an external script to bring meaning to it.

I am afraid the the rather obvious fakery really detracts from the image for me.
