The price of freedom
« on: February 05, 2015, 06:10:39 pm »

I've had this shot in my head for a while, & finally got around to having a go at it.
Didn't fix the curvature as it didn't seem to detract.
Not sure if the applied vignette is too heavy handed or not?

It is a powerful image. The vignette is good, but perhaps a bit less would still work.

Yes, very powerful!

Military cemeteries are the best way to realize what the number of deaths really means! When I see these tombstones aligned, a feeling of dread runs through my body.

It's a fine shot, Matt. Heartbreaking. But that's the price, and if you refuse to fight when it's time to fight the results are even more heartbreaking.

I generally like soft contrast as here.
But maybe a more brilliant white could work better here.
Perfect composition, ok the vignetting, and great subject choice.
All the best,
