Flash compatibility

Hi all, hope you are all doing well. I have a query as to whether or not it is possible to use the canon 550ex slaved to the 430ex flash unit. As the 430ex can utilize the new ETTL-II system to produce more accurate colour, as a result of colour temperature information transmission, would the use of the 550ex unit as a fill slave possibly result in a colour cast in the subjects that it illuminates. Also...does anyone know if it is even possible to get these units to communicate in this setup!
Thanks Clay

No.

The 430EX is slave only. The 550EX is master/slave.
