As Peter said, the sky above you (not in the distant horizon) would influence the shadows. Shadows, in general, are bluish, not cyan-blue, but neutral blue or slightly magenta-blue. That's what the UV filters were for in the film days, among other things.
How you should correct that is a different matter though. Sometimes it goes "against the sun" (i.e., cool tones), sometimes "the other way" (i.e., warm), and sometimes neutral works best. Worth experimenting.
In the film days, I would sometimes take off my UV filter as I wanted to
accentuate the bluishness of the shadows. In digital days, I would sometimes apply different white balance to different part of the image (e.g. one for the sky, the other for the foreground).
