Eighteen of my electron micrographs of microbes (protists and bacteria) printed and displayed in gold leaf wooden frames will be on display at Science World in Vancouver, Canada until 1 March 2015. This is the third venue for these images following exhibits at the Beaty Biodiversity Museum, and the University of British Columbia AMS Gallery in 2013 and 2014. Another installation of my work is on permanent display at the Exploratorium in San Francisco. More details about the organisms and electron micrography, as well as additional images are on my website: www.kevinjcarpenter.com (Exhibits tab) and the museum site: http://www.scienceworld.ca/art-displays/

Nice!

I can well remember the pain of analog electron micrography in my undergrad days.
The fun and wonder of what we were capturing was lost a bit in the vagaries of the darkroom - darkroom experts we were not!

So, congratulations on a wonderful exhibition!

That is fantastic! Just outstanding pix.

I am always happy when a photog gets to put their pix to work. Over the years I've been on about 15 photo forums. (most banned me) Out of the 15 forums only a dozen or so photogs ever made an impression on me where I've remembered their work. Your one of the photogs on that list.

Keep up the great work!

Fancy organisms!!!  So much prettier than E. coli. I enjoyed the gallery on your website. It always humbles me to realize that there's a whole wide world of bacteria, fungi, protozoa, algae, archaea that have absolutely nothing to do with humans (I am an M.D. so have a narrow view - the human microbiome, and any other organisms that are antagonistic to those organisms.
