Resetting Maintenance Tank on IPF 8300
« on: January 13, 2015, 11:58:45 am »

I know there is procedure for going into the service menu of the 8300 and canceling the waste tank error. I can look that up here.

Do you guys think this is a good idea? Any possible complications? I know there is a chip resetter device for these Canons that you can buy for like $100.00 I still haven't ordered one and I am about to face a full waste tank any day.

I can't see a disadvantage w/ repacking it w/ some form of absorbant material

Yes this procedure from the service menu still works on the 8300. I just did it.

I was afraid the latest firmware might have changed things but it didn't.
