Another PC question

Please bear with me folks.  I'm an aging baby boomer who doesn't learn well when it comes to computer stuff.
According to:

I can increase the ram that PS CS2 has access to from 2 to 3 gigs.
And so, I've got a few questions:
1.  Does this also apply to Photoshop CS? or do I need to upgrade to CS2?
2.  I understand that Windows XP Pro with service pack 2 is required.  However, I purchased my system with Windows "Media Center Edition 2005" from Dell.  But, when I go to "System Information" window, the OS Name is "Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600.  What gives here?
3.  On the microsoft website, when your doing the change, am I supposed to type in Windows XP where the 4 question marks are  ei...?
4.  Did I miss anything.  Please add no matter how irrelevant you may think it is.

Media Center 2005 is based on Windows XP Professional.  The major difference is that you can not join a domain (common in corporate environments) with this version.  It is meant for home use only.  Doesn't sound as if that would be a problem in this case.  Other than that it is the same, except for all the media software added to it.

1. If I recall correctly CS is limited to 2GB. The 2GB barrier was broken with CS2.

3. The question marks should be replaced with the version of Windows you have. "Windows XP Professional" is the closest match so I'd try that.

4. This may or may not work for you so don't be surprised if this has no effect. Also, you need to make sure your computers motherboard actually will support more than 3GB of ram installed. Most these days I'm will but there is a chance it won't.
